ಇಕ್ಷ್ವಾಕುವಂಶದ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ರಾಜ ದಶರಥ.ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿರಾಮಾಯಣದ ನಾಯಕ,ಮರ್ಯಾದಾಪುರುಷೋತ್ತಮ,ಪ್ರಾತಃಸ್ಮರಣೀಯ ಶ್ರೀರಾಮಚಂದ್ರನ ತಂದೆ.ದಶರಥನ ಹೆಸರಿನಿಂದಲೇ ರಾಮ "ದಾಶರಥಿರಾಮ" ಎಂದು ವಿಖ್ಯಾತನಾದ.ಅಜಮಹಾರಾಜನ ಪುತ್ರ ದಶರಥ,ಆತನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಹೆಸರು ಇಂದುಮತಿ. ಧೀರತೆಗೆ,ಧರ್ಮನಿಷ್ಟೆಗೆ ಹೆಸರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಅಯೋಧ್ಯೆಯ ರಾಜ ದಶರಥ.ಆದರೆ ಅತಿಯಾದ ವಿಷಯಾಸಕ್ತಿಗಳಿಂದ ಬದುಕನ್ನೇ ಅನರ್ಥ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡ.ಭಾರ್ಗವರಿಂದ ಕಾಡಿ-ಬೇಡಿ ಕಲಿತಿದ್ದ ಶಬ್ದವೇಧಿ ವಿದ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಲು ಹೋಗಿ,ಅನ್ಯಾಯವಾಗಿ ಶ್ರವಣಕುಮಾರನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ಆತನ ಪಾಲಕರಿಂದ ಶಾಪಗ್ರಸ್ತನಾಗಿ ಪುತ್ರಶೋಕದಿಂದ ಪರಿತಪಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಇಹಲೋಕ ತ್ಯಜಿಸಿದ.ಲೋಕದ ಒಡೆಯನ ತಂದೆಯಾದರೂ ದುಃಖ ತಪ್ಪಲಿಲ್ಲ,ಮನೋನಿಗ್ರಹಿಯಾದರೂ  ಕಾಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.ರಾಮಾಯಣದ ದುರಂತನಾಯಕ ದಶರಥನೆಂದರೆ ಅತಿಶಯೋಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಲಾರದು. ಕೌಸಲ್ಯೆ,ಸುಮಿತ್ರೆ,ಕೈಕೇಯಿ ದಶರಥನ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಪತ್ನಿಯರು.ಆದರೆ ವಾಸ್ತವದಲ್ಲಿ ದಶರಥನಿಗೆ ಹಲವು ಪತ್ನಿಯರಿದ್ದರೆಂದು ಮೂಲರಾಮಾಯಣದ ಸಂಭಾಷಣೆಗಳಿಂದ ತಿಳಿಯಬಹುದು."ರಾಜಾನೋ ಬಹುವಲ್ಲಭಾಃ" ಎಂಬುದು ಸರಿ,ಆದರೆ ಅನೇಕ ಪತ್ನಿಯರಿದ್ದರೆ ರಾಜನ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಎಷ್ಟು ದಯನೀಯವಾಗಿರಬಹುದೆಂಬುದಕ್ಕೆ ದಶರಥ ಮಹಾರಾಜ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ ಉದಾಹರಣೆ. ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿರಾಮಾಯಣದ ಒಂದು ಪ್ರಸಂಗ.ಅನುಸೂಯೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತಾಡುತ್ತ ಸೀತೆ,"ರಾಮ ತನ್ನ ಮಾತೆ ಕೌಸಲ್ಯೆಗೆ ಎಷ್ಟು ಗೌರವವನ್ನು ನೀಡ...

First Generation of Computers (1942-1955) : The beginning of commercial computer age is from UNIVAC (Universal Automatic Computer). It was developed by two scientists Mauchly and Echert at the Census Department of United States in 1947. The first generation computers were used during 1942-1955. They were based on vacuum tubes. Examples of first generation computers are ENIVAC and UNIVAC-1. Advantages Vacuum tubes were the only electronic component available during those days.Vacuum tube technology made possible to make electronic digital computers.These computers could calculate data in millisecond.
